(a) – (b)
The Education and Care Services National Law (WA) Act 2012 does not require education and care (ECEC) services to install CCTV cameras or report their presence to the Education and Care Regulatory Unit. Therefore, this information is not collected.
On 22 August 2025, a recommendation to mandate CCTV installation in hundreds of ECEC services was endorsed by Education Ministers at the Education Ministers Meeting. A national trial of the use of CCTV cameras in ECEC services will commence shortly, overseen by the Commonwealth Government.
