The Government has made the decision to restructure the Department of Education and Training as part of our vision to skill-up and secure the State's future. The Liberal-National Government is proud to ensure that the State is poised to make the most of the future economic growth which we are helping to bring about through flagship projects such as Gorgon Gas. For the past eight years the Labor Government squandered the spoils of the economic boom. The Liberal-National Government will not repeat that failure.
(1) As at the date of the formation of the Department of Training and Workforce Development the number of FTE's were:
· Department of Education 33016.85 FTE
· Department of Training and Workforce Development 501.5 FTE

(3) The Department of Education has advised that The Department of Education and Training had 627 leased passenger and light commercial vehicles (excludes mid size and larger buses). 61 vehicles have been transferred to the Department of Training and Workforce Development. 566 vehicles will remain in the Department of Education.
(4) The Department of Education has advised that the Department of Education and Training had 33148.9 FTE as at 18 September 2008.
