The Department of Education funds the following programs to help pregnant and parenting young people:
· senior schooling courses through the Schools of Isolated and Distance Education for pregnant and parenting young people;
· on-site Teen Family Centre and Day Centre, providing childcare for infants and young children, at Balga Senior High School;
·
Eyes Wide Open
, an off-site program at Mandurah Senior College, that also includes access to childcare for pregnant and parenting young people; and
· Senior School Engagement Programs in 76 public schools, which support young people having difficulties remaining engaged in education, including those who are pregnant and/or parenting.
It should be noted that services and programs for young parents and pregnant teenagers are also offered by other agencies.
