Further to question on notice No. 23 of June 20 2001 in relation to the commitment to delete the Fremantle-Rockingham Controlled Access Highway reservation through the Beeliar Reserve in Cockburn -
(1) Will the Minister please list the key stakeholders that MRWA has consulted on the proposed deletion?
(2) Why were these stakeholders chosen and what was each stakeholder’s position on the proposed deletion?
(3) Has MRWA produced any reports or discussion papers on the consultations and if so, will the Minister please table them?

(2) The stakeholders were State and Local Government authorities with a direct interest in the evaluation and impacts of the alternative route options. The stakeholders were supportive of the proposed alternative route via Russell Road and Rockingham Road and deletion from the MRS of the Fremantle-Rockingham Highway reservation between Russell Road and Rockingham Road. (3) Consultation occurred through various informal meetings and discussions, which were held during the consideration of the Russell Road option.
