BUSSELTON HOSPITAL — BUILDING REPAIR WORKS
1122. Hon ADELE FARINA to the minister
representing the Minister for Health:
(1) What is the current status of
the building repairs to Busselton Hospital?
(2) When will the building repair
works be completed?
(3) Is the kitchen still operating
from a transportable?
(4) When will the operating theatres
be reopened for surgeries?
(5) How many
scheduled operations had to be deferred, postponed or rescheduled due to the
building repair works on the ceiling in the operating theatres?
(6) Of the
scheduled operations that had to be deferred, postponed or rescheduled, what is
the expected longest wait time for rescheduling the operation?

I thank the member for some notice
of the question. I am advised of the following —
(1) Repairs have commenced and are
ahead of the original schedule.
(2) Repairs are expected to be
completed by April 2017.
(3) Operation of
the kitchen has not been affected to date. Options to ensure continued
operation during the repairs are still being assessed.
(4) As at 12 October 2016, the
operating theatres remain open.
(5)–(6) As
at 12 October 2016, the operating theatres remain open and no operations have
been deferred, postponed or rescheduled due to the ceiling repair works.
