I refer to the Government's C-series trains, and I ask: (a) how many C-series railcars have been completed; (b) how many C-series railcars are currently under construction; (c) how many C-series railcars in total are currently under contract for construction; (d) how much has the Government spent on the C-series railcar program, in terms of actual payments made, to date; (e) of the figure in (d), what amount has been spent on local Western Australian (WA) suppliers; (f) in reference to (e), what is the definition used to identify WA suppliers; and (g) of the figure in (d), what amount has been spent on suppliers operating outside of WA?

(a)-(g)  Eight six-car C-Series trains are now in service, with three sets in various stages of construction and commissioning. 41 C-Series trains have been ordered from Alstom.
Estimated expenditures to date for the procurement are contained within the State Budget Papers.
