I refer to the proposed alcohol and other drugs residential facility to be located in the South West, as identified by the Western Australian Mental Health Alcohol and other Drugs Services Plan 2015-2025, and I ask: (a) what is the current status of the residential facility; (b) what planning has been undertaken for the residential facility; (c) what funding has been allocated for the residential facility; (d) is it intended the residential facility will be operated by the Government or by an NGO; (e) when is it anticipated the residential facility will be constructed and operational; (f) how many beds will be provided at the residential facility when it opens; (g) will the residential facility be built to the standard required to cater for the 55 beds the Western Australian Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Services Plan 2015-2025 says will be needed by the end of 2025; and (h) will the three low medical withdrawal beds, identified as needed by the plan, be part of the residential facility?

(a) The residential rehabilitation facility is currently in the planning phase. Targeted stakeholder consultation will be undertaken to define a model of service and service configuration.
(b) See above.
(c) There is no funding currently allocated for the construction and/or operation of the residential rehabilitation facility.
(d) It is anticipated that the residential rehabilitation facility will be operated by a non-government organisation.
(e) Construction and operation of the residential rehabilitation facility is dependent on the allocation of funding which will be subject to regular Government budgetary processes.
(f) Options for the initial service configuration will be refined as part of the initial targeted stakeholder consultation.
(g) The service configuration and identification of suitable land options for the residential rehabilitation facility will take into consideration service expansion over time.
(h) As part of the consultation to determine the required model of service, consideration will be given to the expansion of other alcohol and other drug services that may be required to complement and support the residential rehabilitation service delivery which may include (but is not limited to) co-location with low-medical withdrawal beds.
