PetsWA—Centralised registration system
903. Hon Amanda Dorn to
the minister representing the Minister for Local
Government:
I refer to the Stop
Puppy Farming legislation and the decision to cancel the PetsWA contract for
the centralised registration system for which $9.8 million was allocated.
(1) What meaningful steps have been taken since
the cancellation of the contract to ensure the implementation of a functioning
centralised registration system as intended under the legislation?
(2) What is the current timeline for the implementation
and delivery of this system?
(3) Can the minister confirm whether any of the
$9.8 million allocated to the PetsWA project remains unspent and, if so, how
those funds will now be utilised?
