representing the Minister for Police:
I refer to correspondence sent to
the Minister for Police by the member for Bassendean, dated 7 July 2016,
concerning a known drug house which affects residents around Jubilee Reserve in
Eden Hill.
(1) Will the
Minister for Police meet with the member for Bassendean and residents as
requested in his letter?
(2) If yes, when; and, if not, why
not?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) Western
Australia Police advises that Kiara police met with the Jubilee Action Group on
17 and 31 July 2016 and members were provided with an update on actions taken
by police to address the issues and community concerns. These actions include
liaison with the Department of Housing, high visibility police patrols, covert
patrols and liaison with the Town of Bassendean to install additional lighting
around Jubilee Reserve in an effort to increase safety and deter drug users.
Members of the Jubilee Action Group expressed their satisfaction with the
information received and police action and were provided with police contact
details should they wish to discuss the matter further.
