RETAIL TRADING HOURS
1531. Hon WILSON TUCKER to the Minister for Commerce:
I note that retail trading hours
have been extended for an additional 35 hours this Christmas holiday period—an
announcement that I welcome—and the numerous extensions that the
minister and her predecessors have approved year in and year out.
Does the minister agree that
ministerial approvals for trading hours extensions are tedious and unnecessary,
and that modernising our retail trading hours is long overdue?
