I refer to the Minister’s media statement of 12 July 2009 in relation to the East Perth Riverside project, and ask:
(a) has any of the $130 million Government commitment, cited by the Minister, been already expended;
(b) if yes to (a), will the Minister detail:
(i) the amounts expended;
(ii) the purpose of the expenditure; and
(iii) the dates of any expenditure; and
(c) in what Schedule and page numbers in the 2009-2010 State Budget papers are the amounts that make up the $130 million detailed?

(b) (i)
Approximately $21 million has been expended to 30 June 2009.
(ii)
To revitalise the land in the Riverside project area.
(iii)
Expenditure commenced in 1998 when the East Perth Redevelopment Area was extended to include the Riverside project.
(c)
Page 648 of the 2009-2010 State Budget papers.
Approximately $114 million is budgeted until the end of the forward estimates.
The remainder is to be considered beyond the forward estimates period.
