The number of students in each school year 2008, 2009 and 2010 has been determined as the average of the Semester 1 and Semester 2 enrolments for each year for each school. For 2011, the enrolment numbers for Semester 1 only of 2011 have been used [refer to tabled paper no.].
The number of unexplained absences for the entire school year in each of 2008, 2009 and 2010 has been provided, and the number of unexplained absences for Semester 1 only of 2011.
The data relating to Mirrabooka Senior High School reflect students who had not returned to school at the commencement of Year 11. Students who do not return initially are recorded as absent until located by the school or Participation Coordinator. Many of the unexplained absences would be recorded in that early part of the year.
