I refer to the hardship utility grant scheme. (1) For each of the years 2010 and 2011, how many people in each of the following areas applied for HUGS assistance: Bunbury; Busselton; Margaret River; and South West Region? (2) For each of the categories identified in (1) how many people received HUGS funding? (3) For each of the categories identified in (1) how many people applied for exceptional circumstances additional HUGS assistance and how much additional assistance did they receive? In the period January to December 2010: Bunbury, 209; Busselton, 41; Margaret River, eight; and South West Region, 808. In the period January to August 2011: Bunbury 184; Busselton, 68; Margaret River, six; and South West Region, 725. In addition to Bunbury, Busselton and Margaret River, the South West Region—my and Hon Nigel Hallett’s electorate—encompasses Harvey, Collie, Dardanup, Capel, Donnybrook–Balingup, Boyup Brook, Bridgetown–Greenbushes, Augusta, Nannup and Manjimup. (2) The following information reflects the number of people in each of the areas who have received a HUGS grant.
