(a) Western Australia 2011 Pty Ltd contracted the entertainment components to Western Australian based company North Street Productions Pty Ltd. Western Australia 2011 Pty Ltd advised that the two main Directors of North Street Productions Pty Ltd have a combined total of 15 years' experience working at Western Australian arts companies and venues, bringing entertainment to the State.
(b) North Street Productions Pty Ltd advised that of the 58 main stage acts, 55 were from Western Australia and three from elsewhere.
(c) Tourism Western Australia's promotional material for the event did not provide estimated audience numbers for the food fair or entertainment events. Since the announcement of the bid to secure the 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships, estimated numbers of visitors and event participants were quoted in media statements. Estimated visitors to Western Australia for the event were 5,000 and estimated event participants ranged from 1,200 to 1,500 in these media statements. Western Australia 2011 Pty Ltd advised that similar estimates were used in the Official Guide, the Official Events Guide distributed by
The West Australian
, and several monthly email newsletters. A publication produced by Western Australia 2011 Pty Ltd for a Schools Engagement Programme, which was distributed to primary schools throughout the State, indicated that the event would attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to Western Australia.
