All data recorded as part of the Perth Air Quality Monitoring Program conforms to Australian Standards. The Department of Environment runs an environmental education program called "AirWatch" and supplies weather monitoring equipment to schools. This program investigates relationships between air quality and weather. The Department of Environment purchased six Vantage Pro Plus wireless weather stations in late 2002 to supply to schools as a goodwill gesture. In addition, Perth schools purchased two wireless weather-monitoring stations from DoE early in 2004. Only one model of weather monitoring equipment did not conform to the Australian Standards as described. This is the Davis Vantage Pro Plus wireless weather station (model number DV6160).
