WYNDHAM PORT —
TENDER
768. Hon ROBIN SCOTT to the Minister for Ports:
I
refer to the tender process currently underway for the operation of the port of
Wyndham. Will the state government assure local residents that it will strongly
consider giving the tender to a local company that employs local workers and
has experience running the port for over 20 years?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for the
question.
The tender process for the future
management of the port of Wyndham is underway. All tenders will be carefully
assessed and treated fairly under normal state government procurement
practices, including the application of regional pricing practices under the
new Buy Local policy introduced in July 2020.
