I refer to a letter dated July 10 1992 reference 2001/92 sent by the Department of Minerals and Energy addressed to The Manager, Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines titled ‘Western Environmental Barrier’ -

The primary purpose of the bund is to decrease the noise levels from the nearby mining operation. (2) Not applicable.
