CITY OF COCKBURN
1429. Hon SIMON O'BRIEN to the
Leader of the House representing the Minister for Local Government:
I refer to my question asked on 20 November,
which states —
What actions have been taken by the
minister or his department to assist in resolving the serious problems emerging
at the City of Cockburn, including the sudden leave taken by the CEO and
conflict between councillors?
The response I received was that
the government is engaging with the council.
(1) What does ''engaging
with'' mean?
(2) For the second time, what
actions, if any, have been taken?

(1) The Department of Local Government, Sport and
Cultural Industries is conducting inquiries with the City of Cockburn.
(2) The
