With reference to the article, ‘Violent times in reign of bikie gangs’ published in
The West Australian
newspaper 1 June 2010, which identified organised crime in Western Australia, I ask -
(1) Did any of the 70 issues of corruption identified in the Wells Killmier report relate to drug and liquor offences occurring at the Bindoon Rock Concerts?
(2) If yes to (1), -
(a) did the ‘Tartan’ task force members investigate these allegations; and
(b) what was the result of their investigation?
(3) If no to (2)(a) and/or (b), why weren’t these issues investigated by the Police Royal Commission?
(4) Will the Minister now table the ‘Tartan’ report, so the citizens of West Australia can be assured that serious allegations of police corruption are appropriately dealt with?
