220. Hon SIMON O'BRIEN to the minister representing the Minister for Local Government:
I refer to the current inquiries by the Local Government
Advisory Board in relation to proposals for local government amalgamations.
(1) What instructions have been given to the LGAB about the
scope of its inquiries?
(2) Has the
LGAB been instructed, directly or indirectly, that it need not or should not
carry out detailed evaluation of the effects of any or all of the proposals
submitted; and, if so, what are those instructions?
