The Report on Consultants Engaged by Government for the six months ending 30 June 2022 notes $259,172 paid to Aurecon Australasia for the provision of a business case for a hydrogen and ammonia pipeline as part of the Pilbara Hydrogen Hub. Can the Treasurer advise: (a) Was the business case completed: (i) If so, when; (ii) What were the outcomes; (iii) Can a copy of the business case be tabled; (iv) If not, why not; and (v) If a business case was not completed, why not; (b) Was there any further follow up or work by the Government on the Pilbara Hydrogen Hub following this consultancy: (i) If so, what were the details; and (ii) If not, why not; (c) What is the current status of the hydrogen and ammonia pipeline; and (d) What is the status of the Pilbara Hydrogen Hub?

(a)-(d) The business case was delivered in May 2022. A Government decision has not yet been made on this project.
Lumsden Point Road achieved practical completion in December 2025 with all other parts continuing to be progressed.
