FIONA
STANLEY HOSPITAL — CLINICIANS' COMMENTS
2. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question, Mr
Speaker. Premier, are you not behaving petulantly, like a bully and in an
un-Australian way by denigrating doctors and patients by calling them grizzlers ?
Several members interjected.

Mr Speaker —
Mr
R.H. Cook : Is that the Australian way?
Mr
C.J. BARNETT : The member for Kwinana is using my line. It did not take him
long to copy, did it?
There are a group of people,
obviously, who will go out of their way, almost on a daily or weekly basis, to
complain about something within the health system. I do not know what motivates
them; I do not know what motivates the continual claims and innuendo that is
coming out of the AMA, but there they go. There is a little bit of jealousy in
this because, now one row behind me, Dr Kim Hames as health minister has
achieved more in this state than any other health minister in our history and
you are jealous of that. It would take you 20 terms in government to achieve
what he has achieved in two terms.
