BALGA WORKS INQUIRY — GOVERNMENT RESPONSE
I refer to the government’s response to the twelfth report of the Standing Committee on Estimates and Financial Operations in relation to the Balga Works program—specifically recommendation 11, which was supported by the minister as a committee member. The recommendation states in part — The Committee … recommends that the Government reimburse all former employees of the Balga Works Program, who can demonstrate their claims for outstanding wages and superannuation. (1) Will the minister guarantee that recommendation 11 is fully implemented, given that he personally signed off on this recommendation? (2) If not, why not? Hon PETER COLLIER
