The Minister Replied:
(1)The guidelines provide a framework for the Government's consideration of tourism proposals in some areas on the North West Cape. The Department of Environmental Protection has used and made recommendations consistent with the guidelines.
(2) The guidelines were developed for small scale/low impact tourism development and specifically exclude developments within the designated town site of Mauds Landing.
