SCHOOL BUS SERVICES —
DUNSBOROUGH–BUSSELTON
1238. Hon SIMON O'BRIEN to the minister representing
the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the green Public
Transport Authority buses that operate on school bus routes between Dunsborough
and Busselton.
(1) How many buses operate on these
school runs each day?
(2) What is the average number of
students on each service?
(3) Have there
been any complaints made about these services since March 2017 relating to —
(a) safety of students; and
(b) conduct of
bus drivers, including speeding?
(4) If yes to
(3), how many complaints and what remedial action, if any, was taken?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me by
the Minister for Transport.
(1) Ten school bus services per day operate in the
morning between Dunsborough and Busselton, and 10 school bus services
per day operate between Busselton and Dunsborough in the afternoon.
(2) The 10 morning services have an average of 33
passengers per trip, and the 10 afternoon services have an average of 33
passengers per trip.
(3)–(4) Sixteen complaints were received by the PTA that
were determined to require retraining or disciplinary action.
