GOVERNMENT ORGANISATIONS - COMPLIANCE WITH STATE RECORDS ACT
This question is in relation to the State Records Commission of Western Australia. Section 60(1)(b) of the State Records Act 2000 requires the State Records Commission to monitor compliance by government organisations with their record-keeping plans. State Records Commission standard 2, principle 6 requires government organisations to include an appropriate section in their annual report regarding a number of things, such as the efficiency and effectiveness of their record keeping, the nature and extent of record keeping, the training program and the assurance that an organisation’s induction program addresses employee roles and responsibilities in regard to their compliance with the organisation’s record-keeping plan. (1) Which government organisations have not complied with this requirement in their latest annual report? (2) How many breaches or possible breaches of section 60(1)(c) of the act have been reported to the commission in 2006-07? Hon ADELE FARINA
