I refer to the 2015-16 State Budget, and I ask: (a) why was there no money allocated for a new high school in Jandakot; and (b) how does the Minister plan to deal with the dramatic increase in need for a high school in that area?

a) There is currently no requirement for another high school in the Jandakot area, which is served by Lakeland Senior High School and Atwell College. Therefore, no funding has been allocated.
b) In response to projected enrolment data, a new secondary school will open in 2020 at Hammond Park to relieve Atwell College. Additional high school sites that will service parts of the Jandakot area have been identified in surrounding suburbs such as Wandi and will be built when required to relieve the existing high school.
