The Minister for Resources has been provided with the following response:
1. Standard environmental conditions that apply to all exploration activity in Western Australian were placed on exploration licence E59/1175). In addition, the company involved developed and acted upon an Exploration Environmental Management Plan that satisfied the Department of Industry and Resources (DoIR), the Department of Environment and Conservation (DEC) and the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).
2. Approval permitted the clearing of drill access lines to the width of 3 metres.
3. Yes.
4. Approval permitted the construction of drill lines directly down slope.
5. PVC collars can remain above ground for a period of six months following completion of the drilling programme. After that time all drill holes must be capped below ground level. DoIR inspected the site on 31 October 2007 and 1 November 2007 and found that the programme was compliant with approval conditions.
6. Yes.
7. No Declared Rare Flora (DRF) was identified during the pre-drilling flora survey.
