The Minister for Energy has provided the following response: (1) (a-b) The spot market value for renewable energy certificates as of 19 September was $17.50. However, most sales of certificates are through bilateral contracts. The value of certificates traded through bilateral contracts could be different to that of the spot market (2) The spot market value of renewable energy certificates is the same as they are a nationally tradable commodity.
