I refer to the
Government’s apprenticeship and training
policy, and I ask for each of the financial years of 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24 and, if available, 2024-25 to date: (a) how many apprenticeships
were commenced in Western Australia; (b) how many
apprenticeships were completed in Western Australia; (c) how many people were
in apprenticeships in Western Australia; (d) how many traineeships
were commenced in Western Australia; (e) how many traineeships
were completed in Western Australia; and (f) how many people were
in traineeships in Western Australia?

The National Centre for Vocational Education Research allows four years before measuring completion rates to better reflect the time it takes students to complete courses. Completion rates for a cohort continue to increase over time, particularly given many students undertake their training on a part time basis.
