(1) Is the minister aware that brothel managers in Kalgoorlie have been told to discontinue the practice of workers waiting for clients at the front of brothel premises, commonly known as the "starting stalls"? (2) Is the minister aware that the Attorney General gave an undertaking to Parliament on 8 December last year that this practice would be allowed to continue under the prostitution Act? (3) Will the minister give a guarantee that the traditional "starting stalls" will be allowed to continue in Kalgoorlie? Hon PETER FOSS

(1)-(3) I was not aware until I received this question, and I would certainly like to follow up this matter to see whether the concern that the member raised is correct; and, if it is correct, I would regard that as contrary to the undertaking that I gave to the House.
