(1)-(1)(a) I am advised that the Department of Education provides housing where possible to employees deployed to most regional locations. Employees residing in the location of their place of work at the time of recruitment are generally not eligible for housing. School support staff, including education assistants, are mostly recruited locally and are thus not eligible for housing. Of course, extenuating or compassionate circumstances are considered on a case-by-case basis.
