I refer to trained staff available to administer sexual assault forensic kits in regional Western Australia, and I ask for the Minister to table the following for each region: (a) how many trained staff are currently employed; (b) how many staff have left regional services in the past six months; (c) how many staff have been newly trained and retained in the past six months; and (d) how many staff completed training but did not remain employed in regional services?

Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) training is not required for use of Early Evidence Kits.  WA Country Health Service (WACHS) nursing and medical staff can conduct evidence collection and are supported by senior staff or SARC on a 24/7 basis.
a) 278 staff trained in full forensic testing are currently employed by WACHS.
a) 226 nurses and midwives are trained in full forensic testing are currently employed by WACHS. In addition all medical staff are qualified to administer the test by virtue of their occupation and registration.
