The number of patients admitted to Graylands Hospital in the following financial years was:
(a) 1998/99 No information available
(b) 1999/00 2500 patients
(c) 2000/01 2531 patients
(d) 2001/02 2055 patients
(e) 2002/03 839 patients (preliminary data up to 31/12/02)
During 2001/02 Graylands closed 30 beds in stages to support the inpatient beds commissioned at Swan Mental Health unit in 2000/01. The reduction of admissions in 2001/02 is a reflection of this reconfiguration.
