(1) I refer to the statement made by the Vasse ALP candidate that ‘at the Busselton Police Station, chronic understaffing means that we no longer have a full time community policing officer’ and ask does the Minister agree with this statement?
(2) If yes, when will a full time community policing officer be provided to the Busselton community?
(3) If yes, when will other additional staff be provided to overcome the chronic under staffing?

The Crime Prevention Officer at Busselton is required to carry out crime prevention/community policing functions and undertakes operational duties on a needs basis to assist in ensuring community safety and security. The new Busselton Police Complex has a purpose-built Crime Prevention Office for use by the Crime Prevention Officer, which enables convenient access for the local community.
