Can the Minister advise how many persons received counselling from the road trauma counselling service in the 2013–2014 financial year and in 2014–2015 (financial year to date): (a) whether the counselling was by phone or in person; (b) how those persons were referred to the service; and (c) the respective percentage of metropolitan and regional clients?

(a) In
2013/14 (the service opened in November 2013), 79 clients received 215 occasions of counselling consisting of 156 in person sessions and 59 telephone sessions.
In 2014/15, from 1 July 2014 to 21 April 2015, 101 clients have received 227 sessions of counselling consisting of 171 in person sessions and 56 telephone sessions.

Metropolitan clients: 84.51%
Regional clients: 15.49%
*As the service deals with traumatised clients, they are not always able to obtain this information. However, for those clients attending counselling, this is part of the intake process, so the above proportions are considered reflective of counselling.
