Hon Ken Travers questions the Transport Minister regarding the Forrestfield-Airport Link (FAL) car park, specifically concerning land resumption and whether original plans included a car park within the railway lease corridor. The Minister's response indicates the car park was never intended to be within the railway corridor and land resumption costs are included in the overall budget.

LINK — CAR PARK
233. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
(1) Did the
original plans for the Forrestfield–Airport rail line—FAL—include
a car park within the railway lease corridor?
(2) Do the
plans for the FAL now propose land resumption of private property for the
station car park at High Wycombe?
(3) If no to (1), why has the government kept this issue
secret until now?
(4) Did the original estimate for the FAL include the cost of
land resumption for the car park?
(5) What is the estimated cost for land resumption for the
station car park?

honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(5) The plans for the station
and its car park have never included any part of the railway leased corridor.
