water restrictions — sprinkler rosters
I have a supplementary question. The Water Corporation’s website says that there is enough water for usual summer use but the minister is telling the house that there may well be one-day-a-week sprinkler rosters in summer. When will the minister bring some clarity to this chaotic situation? Dr G.G. JACOBS

I do not know whether the member listened to me or just talked while I was talking. We have about 300 gigalitres of water, of which 50 per cent is for domestic use. One third of that is used inside the house and two thirds is used outside the house. We have a responsibility, and it behoves me as minister, to use water wisely because that is what people expect us to do. As minister, I will make a decision about the summer schedule when it is closer to summer.
