I refer to the Perth Children’s Hospital Gender Diversity Service, and I ask: (a) how many referrals did the Perth Children’s Hospital Gender Diversity Service receive in the 2024 calendar year; (b) how many children and adolescents received treatment in the 2024 calendar year; (c) how many children and adolescents commenced stage one puberty blocker treatment in the 2024 calendar year; (d) how many children are currently receiving stage one puberty blocker treatment; (e) how many children commenced stage two cross-sex hormone treatment in the 2024 calendar year; (f) how many children and adolescents are currently receiving stage two cross-sex hormone treatment; (g) what was the age of the youngest child to receive treatment in 2024; and (h) what is the age of the youngest child who has received treatment?

(a)    The Child and Adolescent Health Service gender diversity service received 202 referrals in 2024.
(b)    178 children and young people received care via the service in the 2024 calendar year.
(c)    In 2024 28 patients commenced stage 1 puberty blocker treatment after a rigorous assessment and consent process.
(d)    69 patients are currently receiving stage 1 puberty blocker treatment.
(e)    29 patients commenced stage two cross-sex hormone treatment in the 2024 calendar year.
(f)     49 patients are currently receiving stage two cross-sex hormone treatment.
(g)    11 years.
(h)    10 years.
