(1) Yes.
(2) The Department of Health's Office of Aboriginal Health (OAH) provides funding for environmental health services, including monitoring the Kutjungka region, through the Palyalatju Maparnpa Health Committee. The OAH increased 2008/09 primary health care funding to the Kimberly Aboriginal Medical Service Council by $400,000 to improve Aboriginal health in the Kutjungka region. Housing and essential services identified in the report are the responsibility of the Minister for Housing and Works. This report has been raised with the Department of Housing by OAH.
