For each department, agency and government trading enterprise within the Minister’s portfolio of responsibilities, including the Minister himself/herself, I ask in regard to the registration of the receipt of all gifts, benefits, hospitality, accommodation and travel by officers since 11 March 2017: (a) what was the nature of the gift, benefit, hospitality, accommodation or travel received; (b) what was the date of receipt of each gift, benefit, hospitality, accommodation or travel; (c) what is the name of the individual, organisation or private company that offered the gift, benefit, hospitality, accommodation or travel; (d) what is the estimated individual value of gift, benefit, hospitality, accommodation or travel; and (e) does the organisation have any commercial or financial relationship with the individual, organisation or private company that offered the gift, benefit, hospitality, accommodation or travel and, if so, what is the nature of that commercial or financial relationship?

The Western Australia Police Force advise the following:
Two seats were provided for the premiere of Cirque du Soleil, valued at $100 each, on 13 April 2017. There is no relationship between the WA Police Force and Cirque du Soleil. Two gold class seats for the movie “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” were provided for 27 April 2017 by Telstra Mobile, a WA Police Force service provider. The tickets were valued at $89 each. Two tickets the Fremantle Dockers President’s suite function for the Essendon match on 7 May 2017, valued at $120 per ticket. There is no relationship the Dockers and the WA Police Force. Australia Post, the WA Police Force’s mail service provider, provided two tickets to the West Coast vs Port Adelaide game in corporate box 190. The tickets were valued at $250 each. Australia Post also provided two tickets to the Fremantle Vs Essendon match on 23 March 2018, worth $100 each. Australia Post also provided a single invitation to participate in annual Australia Post Golf Day at the Vines Golf and Country Club on 12 April 2018, with tickets valued at $200 each. On 25 July 2017 Edith Cowan University provided one seat to the “Body Language and Building Presence” learning event facilitated by US Psychologist Amy Cuddy, valued at $219. The WA Police Force occasionally conducts joint research projects with Edith Cowan University through the Sellenger Centre for Research in Law, Justice and Social Change. The Australian Institute of Management WA, on 4 August 2017, provided one seat at the “Life and Leadership” seminar as part of “Leadership Matters” courses facilitated by Ms Gail Kelly, with a value of $145. There is no relationship between the WA Police Force and the Australian Institute of Management WA. Australian Rugby Union provided two tickets to the Wallabies v South Africa game in the VIP South West Super Suite, valued at $125 each. There is no formal relationship between ARU and the WA Police Force. The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia invited the WA Police Force to the Indonesian Independence day function in recognition of professional assistance provided by members of the WA Police Force. The event ticket was valued at $150. On 14 December 2017, a WA Police Force member won the gift hamper door prize at the Make A Difference Foundation meeting, valued at $100. There is no formal relationship between Make a Difference Foundation and the WA Police Force. On 25 March 2018 the West Coast Eagles provided two tickets to the West Coast Eagles Pre-Game Function & AFL Round 1 Inaugural Match at Optus Stadium, valued at $250 each. There is no formal relationship between the West Coast Eagles and the WA Police Force. On 10 April, Chris Tallentire MLA, Member for Thornlie, invited a number of officers to lunch at Parliament House in recognition of Gosnells Police response to a homicide in the Hon. Member’s electorate and for performing CPR in an attempt to keep the victim alive. The lunch was valued at $300. There is no formal relationship between the WA Police Force and the Member for Thornlie.
