I refer to Budget Paper No. 2, Volume 2 at page 539 "Outcomes, Services and Key Performance Information – Service Summary", line item "Significant Issues impacting the Agency – WA Mental Health Services Plan", and ask: (a) what is the current status of development of the plan; (b) when will the plan be completed; (c) will a draft plan be made released for public comment before being adopted by Government; (d) if no to (c), why not; and (e) if yes to (c), when will it be released?

a) Work is currently underway to develop a 10 year Plan for mental health services across Western Australia.
b) A draft copy of the WA Mental Health Services Plan will be provided to the Minister in December 2013, with a final copy to be provided by mid-2014.
c) The draft Plan is being developed with significant consultation and mechanisms for community feedback. The opportunity for additional public comment will be considered in 2014.
