NATURE POSITIVE PLAN — COMMONWEALTH REFORM
857. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. Can
the Premier explain why he seems to be unable to stand up to federal Labor,
which continually damages Western Australian industry?
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Order, please!

I
think my answer to the first question pretty much negates his supplementary
question. If there is anything I have a reputation for in Canberra, it
is standing up for WA. There is not a federal minister who does not seem to
avoid me when they see me in the corridors, because they know that I will come
at them with the interests of Western Australian people on hand. They know full
well our position on this and they know full well all the issues that impact Western
Australia because we take the trouble to engage deeply with the commonwealth
government. It respects our view. It does not always agree with it, but it
always respects our view and understands that we will always do what is right
for WA.
