I have a supplementary question. Is it not a fact that the people of Western Australia have a right to know whether a minister, the holder of a position of public trust, has been referred to adversely in a police royal commission? Dr G.I. GALLOP

I repeat what I said during the last sitting week: the royal commission has raised no matters with me that require my action. I make it clear to the Leader of the Opposition what this relates to. As the members in this Parliament ought to know, when allegations against individuals are made in a royal commission, those individuals are informed and given the opportunity to respond. The Government of Western Australia stands accountable in these matters. I assure the House that the royal commission has raised no matters about any members of my Government that require action.
