I refer to the proposal to log Mundlimup Coupe 0309. In September 2009 the Forest Products Commission expected in the order of 300 hectares to be logged pending final coupe design and in relation to this, I ask:
(a) has that coupe design been finalised; and
(i) if not, when will the design be finalised;
(b) what is the projected harvest of timber, by class of logs, from the lot; and
(c) what are the expected proceeds of the sale from each class?

(a) No.
(i) It is envisaged that the coupe design process will be completed during April and May 2010.
(b) The estimated yield of first and second grade jarrah sawlogs is 10 to 15 tonnes per hectare. This figure is consistent with yields achieved in forest areas harvested in the vicinity in recent years. A small amount, approximately 100 to 150 tonnes of Sheoak sawlog may also be produced from the operation. The estimated yield of lower grade jarrah logs is expected to be two to five tonnes per hectare. The estimated yield of firewood is expected to be two to five tonnes per hectare.
(c) The gross stumpage revenue from the sale of forest products is estimated at approximately $250 000. Additional revenues reflecting the cost of harvesting are estimated at $220 000, but this will vary depending on the haulage distance to customers.
