I provide the following answer on
behalf of the Minister for Agriculture and Food who is out of the chamber on
urgent parliamentary business. The following answer has been provided by the
Minister for Planning.
(1)–(4) There
are 31 proponents that have entered the pre-lodgement process as required under
part 11B of the Planning and Development Act
2005 prior to formal lodgement of an application. As at 25 November 2024 , four applications have been lodged and
formally accepted and are currently under assessment. Conformance checks
are underway on another three applications in readiness for acceptance.
(5) (a) The four
applications currently under assessment range in value between $23 million and
$80 million.
(b) All
applications lodged under part 11B of the Planning and Development Act 2005 are
subject to a 120-day statutory timeframe for determination.
