assessment in 2017 has the Department made further enquiries to determine if
improvements have been made, and if yes: (a) Which
local governments were checked and when; (b) Which
local governments had taken steps to improve governance; and (c) If
not, why not?

No. The Department provides this assessment as a tool for local governments to identify areas to be considered when reviewing governance frameworks.
