(a) The Department of Transport does not distinguish the upper Swan River, or the nine kilometres section of the Swan River within the Maylands electorate, from the general area of the Swan and Canning Rivers. As such, it is difficult to provide exact statistics on the number of patrols conducted in the upper Swan River or Maylands area. However, during the period 1 November 2009 and 28 February 2010, the Department of Transport conducted a total of 58 on-water patrols on the Swan and Canning Rivers.  Most of these patrols venture up the Swan River as far as the Garratt Road Bridge at some point. Of the 58 on-water patrols, at least 13 took place exclusively in the upper Swan River. This number included five joint patrols conducted with the Swan River Trust. In addition to these patrols, the Swan River Trust also conducted 14 of its own on-water patrols in the upper Swan River during this period.
(b) Refer to (a).
(c) As mentioned in (a), the Department of Transport does not distinguish the upper Swan River, or the nine kilometres section of the Swan River within the Maylands electorate, from the general area of the Swan and Canning Rivers. However, during the period 1 November 2009 and 28 February 2010, the Department of Transport conducted a total of 13 on-land patrols around the Swan and Canning Rivers. Of the 13 on-land patrols, at least 11 focused exclusively on the upper Swan River. In addition to these patrols, the Swan River Trust also conducted 15 of its own on-land patrols in the upper Swan River during this period.
(d) Refer to (c).
