POLICE —
ARMADALE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE UNIT
840. Dr A.D. BUTI to the
Minister for Police:
I have a supplementary question. If the statistics for
domestic assaults in the south east metropolitan district increase at a higher
rate than normal over the next six months, will the minister commit to
restoring the specialised domestic violence unit based at Armadale Police
Station, which was put there because there was a need for it?

AnswerView source ↗

What I will commit to is ensuring that my close relationship
with the Commissioner of Police continues so that we improve service delivery,
improve those figures for the south east metropolitan area, Peel and the other
hot spots around the state, and enhance community safety in those areas.
Dr A.D. Buti interjected.
Mrs L.M. HARVEY :
That is what additional recruitment of police officers is all about. That is
what Frontline 2020 is all about.
The SPEAKER :
Member for Armadale, I call you to order for the third time.
