VOLUNTARY ASSISTED DYING — PROSECUTIONS
53. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to questions without notice 940, 1135, 1182 and 1196,
dating back to 3 September 2019 in which I sought access to correspondence
between the commonwealth and state government about the use of telehealth under
the then Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill 2019.
(1) Now that
it has been five months after my first request, will the minister provide the
information that I seek?
(2) If the
minister continues not to provide information to Parliament, when will he
comply with section 82 of the Financial Management Act 2006?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) I
understand that as an act of good faith, the correspondence was provided to the
member in confidence on 22 October 2019 during debate on the Voluntary Assisted
Dying Bill. Further advice is currently being sought.
